Honeycomb is a mass of hexagonal prismatic wax cells built by honey bees in their nests to store honey and pollen. The comb is edible and offers numerous health benefits, such as fighting infections and improving heart health. Honeycomb may also boost liver functions.
Honeycomb contains trace amounts of vitamin A. The raw honey in honeycomb is very nutritious, packed full of vitamins, enzymes, pollen and antioxidants. The most nutritious of all raw honey is honey still sealed in the wax cells of honeycomb.
